Erika Patricia is a young woman looking for the opportunity to succeed. She has moved from her home town to the city, she already made one loan which was very useful to her business and this is her opportunitie to increase her sales and consolidate her business, so i would lend her money. Maybe she will motivate other young women to change their lifes.

AFROCOLOMBIANS

In Colombia, discrimination against Afro -people appeared since time of colonization because of the ridiculous power and feeling of greatness of “white skin and blue blood people” however that is part of the past and it is out of our hands. What I really hate and i can not understand is how colombians discriminate AfroColombians if we all share almost the same past and history, we share many culture aspects and we all born on the same country, we supposed to love our people! this kind of discrimination is unfounded and I hope that with all the entities and their projects it will dissapear. Hoping it occurs ASAP!

CARNIVAL MOMENTS!!

I’m really proud of living this wonderful carnival, which is full of tradition and culture. Those things makes me enjoy it the most i can because i shared, share and will always share incredibles moments with people who treasure our same roots.

My favorite moments are the ones where we dance, sing with our heart and feel our culture!!

TINARIWEN

1. This video makes us infer many things about Tuareg culture, principally that people is kind of oppressed and have strong desire to change and succeed, but also they are passionate people who also value nature, show preference for intelligence instead force, and drink too much tea which maybe has interesting qualities 😉

2. See the video and know the lyrics was pretty helpfull, it did it easier, it gave us a real perspective of Tuareg culture. Actually, reading is one of the most developed skill of the language that we have.

1. Barranquilla was chosen thanks to the major of the city who launched the process to apply Barranquilla to be American Capital of Culture, they talked to the bureau of Cultural Capitals and start the whole process with them. Also because this entity’s president was impressed with the city, with all the cohesion around culture and especially positivism, and the international projection of Barranquilla. WITHOUT NEGLECTING ALL CITY’S HISTORY 🙂

2. Yes, Barranquilla will receive an economic benefict through tourism because this recognition will promoted us internationally through agreements that the bureau has with channels Antena 3 of Spain and Discovery Network.

AN AMERICAN IN UGANDA

1.The first point of view that we see in this story is the black man’s from Uganda, who think has a rural lifestyle and was always looking for a way to get money to survive. That is the only way it has ever been for him. It is what he knows. The second point of view is the american’s one teaching in Uganda, he was there just temporary for job and he had to stay at his house, near to black man’s, most of the time. He has the common way of life that we all know, his life was for teaching and he thinks he deserves a peacefull house.

2. I think the miscommunication happens because they are totally different, they are separated by class, by education, by language, and by culture. They are separated by virtually every category one could identify. They live different lives and run in different circles. For the black man his lifestyle never annoyed someone. I could say he was not guilty, the white man is a ilustrated man who should know how people in Uganda lives. The white man just thought about him.
